Problem & outcome

What it solves

The problem

When filling and packing run faster than people can stack, the end of the line sets the output of the whole plant. Manual palletizing also concentrates the heaviest, most repetitive lifting in one place.

Intended outcome

Intended outcome

Palletizing that keeps up with the filler, with pattern changes made from the HMI instead of the robot pendant.

Approach, applications and scope

Technical scope

Engineering approach

We model case flow, pattern library and pallet changes first, then size the number of cells, the robot payload and the accumulation needed to absorb short stops. Layer-picking or single-case grippers are chosen per product range.

Typical applications

  • Case and tray palletizing after packing lines

  • Layer picking for mixed-SKU pallets

  • Bag and sack palletizing

  • Depalletizing at line infeed

Scope

  • Throughput model and layout

  • Pattern library with HMI-based pattern editing

  • Safety: fencing, muted pallet exits, light curtains

  • Pallet dispenser, stretch-wrap and label integration
