Industry context

Between the end of production and the loading dock, material is conveyed, accumulated, palletized, wrapped, labelled and stored. In many plants this flow grew in stages and is now the limiting factor for dispatch.

We engineer material-handling systems inside and next to production — conveying, palletizing, AMR and pallet transfer — and integrate them with the site's warehouse management system.

Common challenges

  • Accumulation and congestion between production and dispatch.

  • Forklift traffic in pedestrian areas.

  • Manual labelling and scanning that breaks the link between product and pallet data.

  • Peak volumes that the current layout cannot absorb.

Standards & considerations

  • Throughput modelling of the full flow before equipment is specified.

  • Safe separation of automated transport, forklifts and pedestrians.

  • Interfaces to WMS/ERP for pallet labels and dispatch data.

  • Phased installation while dispatch continues.
